The lemonade is delicious! My kids loved the tacos. I think the only downside is they don't take card but they do take cash and zelle

I haven't been to this truck stand in 18 years! This truck is across the street from Sam Houston High, crazy how I remember walking here for lunch durning high school. So I was very surprised to see it still there after all these years. You can see from the menu they have a wide variety of items. I stuck to what I remembered and chose the torta with fajita. Then I couldn't believe the price hasn't changed in 18 years! It's still just five bucks! What i didn't expect was for it to come with a side of beans, and side of grilled onions and a lime. I didn't ask for any of this and I'm not complaining, for five bucks that's a sweet deal. The torta was cooked perfect with a toasty bun and tender meat. I added the grilled onions and some green salsa which just evaluated it. The beans had a very nice kick to them. If you're not a fan of spicy eat the beans with caution. I highly recommend this place for a quick, cheap lunch on the go.
If you want some good tacos on the north side of Houston and you're too busy for a restaurant the Don Tin taco truck will hit the spot. After our fifth visit we decided it was time to write a review. Tacos with a flour tortilla are $1.50/ea. The barbacoa, pastor, pollo, and carne asada are all good. As good as just about any taco truck in Houston. The wait isn't too bad. 5-10 minutes to get an order. With each order you get extra grilled onions and jalapeño peppers along with an order of Frijoles Carros which is Mexican style bean soup with hotdog and onions (it's actually quite good...give it a chance especially if you're feeling a little under the weather) so you're gonna get filled up. Enjoy if you're on the run!
Don Tin just catered our wedding and did a fabulous job! The food was delicious, the guests loved the whole feel of the taco truck added to an otherwise elegant affair. They went above and beyond to ensure it was enjoyed by all. Mucho gracias' Don!
